“This is an unpredictable and heart-pounding mystery. A psychological thriller that's both inventive and unflinching.” - KIRKUS REVIEWS
Late one night, in the summer of 1999, James Davis watched helplessly as his parents were brutally murdered. Alone at seventeen, with bitter memories burned into his psyche, James faced years of intensive therapy and horrific nightmares.
He would never be the same again.
Fifteen years later, he’s working at a job he enjoys, he has his own place, he’s finally found a psychiatrist he clicks with, and he’s making new friends. Everything was looking up…
…until the murderer returns.
He introduces himself as simply Alistair, and he’s decided to pick up where he left off. On top of that, he’s insisting that James join in his psychotic adventures. Locked in a state of terror, James struggles to retain his sanity as the horrors threaten to shred his soul.
Alistair is willing to let go for a price, but the cost may be too high.

Eyes behind the Mask A Gripping Psychological Thriller edition by Lorelei Logsdon Martha Hayes Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
A well-paced psychological thriller, Comorbid starts slowly, drawing the reader in gradually through the first few chapters. We meet the main character, James, who I cared about immediately because he was relatable in small ways - his office politics, his social anxieties, his acute self awareness, his desires. His thoughts were what we all think from time to time in our daily routines - in the beginning. And then as the pages turned, I began to see just how broken James was, and worse, why he was so broken. The story takes us backwards and forwards in time, revealing James' present day struggles in small chunks and then gradually revealing the cause of those struggles in gripping, horrifying passages in the past. The transitions between present day and the past are smooth and underline the behaviors we witness as the story progresses. It kept me reading well past bedtime.
James' father filled me with disgust and anger for his cruelty. Being a father of young children, I wanted to reach into the page and smash him at times. His mother's petulance, selfishness, and reluctance to see what was happening under her nose had me swaying between contempt and pity.
The tension grows with James getting more and more paranoid as the story continues until the we get to the core of his "why" and a surprise ending which left my entire body stiff and my knuckles white as a good thriller should.
This is a story that will stick with you days after you've read it. 5 Star, must read for thriller lovers.

Eyes behind the Mask A Gripping Psychological Thriller edition by Lorelei Logsdon Martha Hayes Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
Great story great thriller. You'll never guess how this story ends... Very clever and interesting first thriller from this author. Can't wait for more.....
Hard to believe this is a debut novel. Extremely well written, believable characters, lots of action, just the right balance of description versus dialog (much of it internal) versus action. There were very subtle "clues" throughout the book pointing to one character then another. Fabulous twist near the end - I never suspected the person who turned out to be the villain. This book cost me a nearly sleepless night - I couldn't put it down. It seemed the answer was always right around the corner...... Just a few page away!!!!!!!!!!!
Though a reasonable read, the book was predictable and I had figured out what was happening about a third of the way in. There were a couple of surprises toward the end, which shed light on aspects of the story.
I have read many books claiming to be a psychological thriller. Some of them don't live up to the hype. This story is different. You feel the emotions of the characters and get lost in the story. A dark atmosphere and truly wonderful writing make this a book you don't want to miss. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
It's been two weeks since I finished this book and it still haunts me. Powerful writing, rich characters and wait until you read the ending.
This is more than a psychological mystery it's on a whole new level. This is a literary feast. I hope Ms. Logsdon has another novel up her sleeve. She left me wanting more.
This book was very easy to read and enjoyable. I actually was more intrigued by the story of main characters' parents than I was of his own story. Maybe that's because the main storyline was a little on the predictable side. That said, I still did enjoy this book. I wasn't actively trying to figure out the twist or anything, but it suddenly dawned on me at about the 88% mark (I read the ebook).
Give it a shot. If nothing else, it's entertaining.
This book is lived through the eyes of James and without giving anything away it reminds me of the first time I was introduced to Alfred Hitchcock as a child. It's a psychological thriller that keeps you turning the pages. You can empathize with James, in fact you are there with him as he goes through his story. It's tense, gripping, and complex. Get this book and jump into a story that will keep you up wanting to know more!
I certainly hope Ms. Logsdon has more books on the way. This was a fantastic debut!
